Fever

Peggy Lee’s Fever still sends shivers down my spine. And I am yet to hear anyone else do it with anything like her distinctive styling of it. Simply wonderful stuff!
Love her late night sultry smoky longing
I also vague remember an episode of Walt Disney (back in the good old days when it was on every Sunday evening here in Oz) that was looking at the production of the original Lady and the Tramp (I think). And there was a quite young and very attractive Peggy Lee, singing the part of the nasty Siamese cats, doing a duet with herself courtesy of the high-tech marvel of first recording onto a reel-to-reel tape recorder then taping herself singing in harmony with the original tape. Marvellous. We’re showing our age! I remember Disney on a Sunday night too. Apparently Peggy Lee sued for a cut when Lady & The Tramp was released on video & she won some royalties
