I wanted to somehow be close to the man who had given me so much joy. Dear Oscar, we love you so, you are gone but never forgotten.

Please check on your friends, family, neighbours, loved ones and ask them: Are you OK? Let’s reach out to each other. We are so busy and so disconnected in our modern world. Together we can prevent suicide. If you have a neighbour who lives on their own, a smile and a chat could be what someone needs. I have rung Lifeline in my darkest hour and the woman who answered the phone was brilliant. May the legacy of Gavin Larkin live on and on and spread across the world.
