Nothing compares

I’m so sad about Jyoti, the poor woman who was attacked by six men in India, what a terrible way to die. Jyoti was a medical student, I wonder at the good she would have done in her country had she lived. I hope her death makes us change the world and bring an end to assaults against women. Like the shooting of innocent babies in Connecticut USA, may her violent shocking death make us wake up to change. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan tweeted, “Her body has passed away, but her soul shall forever stir our hearts.”

Let Your Heart Be Light

The silly season is upon us. Hello Santa, Merry Christmas and Happy Channukah. This has been an exhausting, challenging, mad year for many of my loved ones. Peace to all.

Don’t Give Up

I am blessed to have many beautiful friends in this life. Today two brave friends went through a terrible ordeal and will need to find the strength to overcome vast pain. I am thankful for my beautiful friends and all they have endured. I will be there when you need me

To Save A Child

This is an incredible project. Let’s help these guys save children

Everything is disposable except people

A beautiful soul just left the earth too soon. I see too many sweet young souls die in my work life. I hope she is in the arms of the angels. One day cancer will be a bad memory.

I believe in fairies, the myths, dragons….

Happy Birthday Sinead

She is one of my favourite singers, a fiery, feisty Irish wonder. In Chinese astrology Sinead O’Connor is a Fire Horse, some people apparently find female fire horses scary. I’m one too. This is Sinead at her powerful best.

The funniest, funnest girl I ever met

Eight years ago today I gave birth to a nutty little monkey. My youngest daughter is going to be a stunt woman, a truck and a punk when she grows up. She shouts and makes me laugh and I couldn’t imagine a peaceful life without her. Happy birthday Miss Zen

Happy Birthday Anna Mae

Tina Turner was born today in 1939. She is one of my heroes. When I was a teenager I read Tina Turner’s memoir I, Tina and I was inspired by her strength and resilience. Now I have recovered from my own abusive relationship with the help of a domestic violence counsellor, I realise how strong Tina Turner must have been to withstand regular abuse, be a mother and go on stage acting like nothing had happened for years. She is a role model for women everywhere.

I have learned from reading about Tina’s beatings at the hands of Ike that I must sing my own song, which is part Sinead O’Connor, part Miss Piggy and part Karen Carpenter on crack. Happy Birthday Tina, I love your voice and your spirit
